The Director, Real Estate Strategy’s responsibility is to preserve and enhance the overall value of the leased and owned real estate portfolio. As the team’s leader for Providence’s real estate in the Region, the Director ensures the long-term fiscal and physical viability of all properties, oversees development and implementation of annual property management and maintenance plans, provides key leadership to the resolution of complicated property compliance and performance matters, and manages the appropriate internal infrastructure.
- Responsible for leading the strategy set forth by the region to ensure that the real estate functions are aligned with the strategy as well as standard policies and procedures. Clarifies and communicates the vision and strategy to all teams and partners.
- Responsible for developing and implementing service level agreements with the region and partners.
- Responsible for leading/coordinating team of diverse direct reports to deliver upon strategies, including contractors. Makes employment decisions, ensuring adequate staffing levels and hiring, manages performance and pay.
- Accountable for representation to regional Ops leadership councils to provide insight from the real estate perspective.
- Responsible for preparing executive level communication regarding current project status and overall portfolio.
- Responsible for the developing and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the regional properties, as well as a broader knowledge of real estate in the area and market conditions.
- Accountable for establishing project timelines and key deliverables.
- Oversight of budgets, cash flow projections, and preparation of financial reports.
- Responsible for engaging other Shared Services or vendors such as IS, and Supply Chain as needed.
- Accountable for engaging and leading the relationship with external partners in order to implement the regional strategic plan.
- Position requires the ability to travel throughout the region(s).

- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business or healthcare administration, construction and/or real estate; or equivalent educ/experience
- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Planning, Finance, Real Estate (preferred)
- Upon hire: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
- Upon hire: Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred)
- 10 or more years of experience with managing and leading teams the real estate industry
- 5 years of experience with managing projects and following required financial practices (preferred)
- Proven experience leading teams with diverse experience and expertise
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both written and verbal forms for both internal and external partners
- Highly organized and demonstrated ability to prioritize
- Knowledge of real estate and leasing practices
- Knowledge of construction management practices
- Ability to prioritize work by making informed judgments and to develop solutions for complex problems
- Strong analytical, organizational, leadership, interpersonal skills, and effective oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of technical, professional and business in the fields of healthcare delivery, architecture, design, construction, and building design process
- Understanding of land use and regulatory compliance
- Presentation skills
- Microsoft office suite to include Microsoft Project.
