The Director of Treasury & Shared Services will be an integral part of the Vineyard Vines Controller Group and have responsibility for managing all aspects of Treasury & Banking, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable/Credit.
The role will manage a team of 5-7 professionals and report to the Vice President, Controller. In addition, this person is expected to strongly liaise with the VP FP&A on cash forecasting and modeling.
Treasury & Banking
- Manage daily cash position, disbursements, banking relationships, and funds movement in all domestic accounts
- Ensure that a company’s cash flow is adequate to allow it to operate effectively:
- Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
- Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
- Evaluate/confirm the cash impact of new business ventures
- Maintain strong relationship with lending and external banking teams; responsible for all compliance reporting, along with VP FP&A; identify and execute on opportunities to improve current banking structure
- Direct communication with the CFO and others to provide regular insight and updates on status of Treasury-related activities, including interest rate risk, liquidity risk, as well as overall market conditions
- Support FPA on short and long term Company cash forecasting
Accounts Payable
- Supervise the accounts payable team in all daily accounts payable functions, including but not limited to invoice entering, issue checks, manual check requests, distribution activities, purchase orders, etc.
- Review and report on monthly DPO and other related Company KPI’s and play an integral role in implementing Company-wide process improvements to improve cash flow
Accounts Receivable / Credit
- Supervise day-to-day operations of the Credit department including cash applications, collections, and AR month-end close activities
- Review and report on monthly DSO and other related Company KPI’s and play an integral role in implementing Company-wide process improvements to improve cash flow
- 10-12 years minimum of Finance and/or Accounting or Treasure required
- 5-7 years of treasury experience for a mid to large company
- Strong broad-based knowledge of capital and currency markets, accounting, finance, and tax
- Experience with global banking, hedging, f/x, transfer pricing & intercompany loans a plus
- Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach; a roll-up-the-sleeves mentality
- Strong track record of success in driving execution and delivering business results
- Solid analytical and quantitative skills, as well as verbal, written and communication skills
