Robert Half are the exclusive recruitment partner to a well established global manufacturing group that now seek to recruit a brand new role as leader of the European shared service, and partner to the European Country Managers. This exciting role will define structure, develop process and create efficiencies as they continue to expand their European operations (currently 20 trading countries and 3 shared service functions, and will be a key leader in the global business.

• Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions in Europe and support of other locations as needed
• Partnering with European leaders on financial oversight and best practices
• Responsible of oversight of annual global statutory filings and external auditor activities in coordination with local teams
• Evaluating current accounting systems to ensure they deliver required accuracy and integrity of financial reports
• Developing and monitoring accounting performance metrics
• Providing coaching and training for team development
• Participating in a variety of special projects, as needed
• Shared Services
• Assessing the current shared services model to strategically develop organization and workflow updates aligned with our Company strategy and culture
• Leading accounting shared service performance by developing people and processes focused on operational discipline and business partnership
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with effective communication and by leading the collaborative development of service level agreements and expectations
• Establishing and maintaining solid relationships with business unit leadership and other senior leaders
