ABSL Latvia is an industry association formed in 2019 to advocate for the interests of Global Business Service (GBS) centers operating in Latvia. ABSL encourages the Global Business Services industry to connect, collaborate, and grow. We engage government officials, universities, and other stakeholders to leverage Latvia’s full potential as a highly attractive location for the industry.

We are looking for an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (fixed term – 2 years)

• Personally being involved in fulfilling the association’s strategic plan by collaborating with association members and other stakeholders
• Establish and strengthen relationships with key collaborative partners (government institutions, ministries, higher education institutions, and other NGOs)
• Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends to maintain information about the GBS sector in Latvia
• Represent the GBS sector’s interests in meetings, conferences, and seminars
• Build and implement sector branding initiatives
• Identify partnership opportunities with new association members and strategic partners
• Organize events and webinars for representatives of GBS companies
• Create and monitor content on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) as well as the association homepage (www.absl.lv)

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a project management role
• Higher education in economics, business management, or administration
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks
• Excellent English, and Latvian language skills
• Overall understanding of the labor market in Latvia
• Presentation skills, ability to organize, and moderate meetings, events, and webinars
• Self-driven, ambitious, and highly motivated personality
• Proficiency in data analytics, reading data, ability to structure data, and interpret outcomes
• Well-developed writing skills (reports, press releases, newsletters)
• Social media management skills, including the ability to prepare graphic designs for social media posts, newsletters

Skills Considered as an Advantage:

• Experience working in NGOs
• Experience working with higher education institutions and government agencies
• Understanding of the Global Business Sector in Latvia and other popular GBS locations in Europe
• Experience in building successful relationships with media partners
