For our client, a global player in providing health & security services to corporate as well as non-corporate clients, we are looking for an experienced Finance & Accounting Control Manager.

He/She is to take full responsibility of the overall outcomes of the Prague-based Global Shared Service center (GSS). Also, this person will assume leadership in building its Front Office desk that will upgrade the current level of service to its internal clients and all other legal entities within the scope of GSS (Europe, Africa, Middle East and Americas).

• To build, manage and develop his/her team of front office accountants (5) and credit controllers (6)
• To actively build and maintain good relationship and positive cooperation with all stakeholders (GSS General Manager and internal customers, including CFOs and regional CFOs)
• To ensure compliance to internal controls to mitigate financial risks
• To work closely with internal audit and compliance teams to address any identified issues or concerns
• To identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the GSS
• To complete accountability for finance and accounting activities delivered by the GSS in line with accepted accounting standards for selected Legal Entities, including performance management (KPIs)
• To coordinate and review the month end close process
• To sign off the end-to-end process and follow up actions completed for: monthly AP ledgers, monthly AR ledgers, balance sheet reconciliation, year-end close consolidation package
• To take on responsibility over specific deliverables of his/her team, related to the respective Legal Entities (Monthly FX ledger revaluation; Control of AP Ledger; Balance Sheet Reconciliation of PTP specific accounts; Netting process end to end; Control of AR Ledger;
• Balance Sheet Reconciliation of OTC specific accounts; RTR GL vouchers; Balance Sheet Reconciliation of RTR specific accounts; Review Statutory submission (VAT, Sales Tax, National Statistics)

• Education: advanced degree in finance & accounting (ACCA or equivalent)
• 7+ years of experience in managing Finance and Accounting teams in an international and multicultural environment in charge of end-to-end finance agenda
• Experience working in a Shared Services environment
• Leadership and Management skills: track record of effectively managing a team of finance professionals
• Solid experience in collaborating with internal and external finance stakeholders
• International mobility
