As Finance Leader in Country Leadership team setting business strategy:

• Act as Cluster / Country Finance Business Partner and assist the MD in achieving the business & operations objectives – Revenue, LC, Cash flow, NWC – by driving both long- and short-term plans.

• Develop annual financial plans and budgets and monitor capital investment, control processes, policies and procedures, and provides regular reviews and improvement thereof.
• Develop Finance and Procurement staff member technical skills and overall competence in the performance of their respective roles and in preparation for enhanced job responsibilities.
• Set key businesses KPIs to monitor and deliver businesses success.
• Lead Finance & Procurement transformation in the Cluster / Country.

As Finance Business Partner:

• Challenge the businesses to drive sustainable value proactively through informed and insightful decision-making.
• Provide continuous future focused business insights tailored to the businesses need.
• Be part of all commercial and investment decision making process with timely review and advise for all Capex application or in the procurement of materials and supplies or leases for various businesses and ensure Return on Investment. Also ensures adequacy and propriety of insurance risks coverage for SGS PH affiliate entities.
• Review and monitoring of contractual agreements and similar commitments entered into by the company for corporate services as well as support to the core operating businesses.
• Oversee discharge of daily duties and responsibilities of the Finance and Procurement division, in line with the key performance indicators set by section, involving financial planning, analysis and reporting for the businesses, treasury, purchasing and general office administration.

As Manager of Finance Technical Excellence (Align with Group Functions / GBS – Shared accountability

• Implement adequate internal accounting, purchasing, and treasury control in accordance with established SGS Group guidelines or international and local guidelines to ensure compliance with Audit, Tax and Treasury requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local corporate, business and tax laws and regulations.
• Manage Cluster / Country delivery in the areas of Forecasting, Planning, Analysis and Reporting.
• Ensure efficient, effective and accurate Finance & Procurement operations for the Cluster / Country.
• Support execution of Finance & Procurement transformation in the Cluster / Country in line with Finance strategy.
• Provide inputs to GBS Finance to enable finance operations delivery as per agreed SLAs.
• Support Internal Control ensuring ICS Compliance and ensure data integrity of Cluster / Country financial reports (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, etc.) and KPIs.
• Ensure that the team is fully conversant with the Operational Integrity expectations in connection with the work they are engaged in, including the requirements of applicable SGS Group OI (Operational Integrity) and SGS PH HSE procedures and requirements.
• Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements as specified in the Group OI, Code of Integrity, and any other Business Principles and Policies of the country and/or the Group as applicable are in place, implemented and measured.
• Encourage team to report potential hazards in the workplace and take prompt action on closing out the HSE concerns raised by the team, and any other findings of non-conformities.
• Provide inputs to the management on HSE matters during Management Review meetings and set SMART objectives / targets to continually improve HSE performance.
• Perform other tasks as may be required by the managers or the board.

• Qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Overall experience (post CPA) of at least 10 years with 5-7 years commercial accounting experience
• Big 4 Accounting firm experience is a plus
• High integrity with a can-do attitude
• Hands-on manager with strong leadership and coming up with solutions
• Proficient with MS Excel and other tools of importance / relevant to the role and teams

Experience / Technical Knowledge

• At lease 5 years managerial experience in the areas of commercial Finance and Procurement,
• Have strong experience in Financial reporting
• Conversant with Oracle and Hyperion is a plus
• Have good track records of business and team restructuring
• Conversant with Microsoft Word / Excel / Powerpoint / Power BI tools
• Have strong customer service orientation and collaborative
• Have strong drive to deliver timely with high quality of works and output
• Have strong business orientation / acumen and conceptual thinking
