The Finance Director will oversee Malaysia entities on finance, accounting management, company reporting activities and budget planning to ensure coordinated efforts and efficiency for the entities’ best performance. He/she will be supporting local and regional management team in offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the entities.

Accounting Management

  • Lead the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Oversee financial and regulatory compliance, serving as the main contact for compliance, audits, and tax matters.
  • Coordinate with external consultants to ensure timely tax filings and related documentation.
  • Participate in internal audits and implement improvement recommendations, ensuring strong internal controls.
  • Drive process and efficiency improvements within the department and collaborate with other teams.
  • Lead IT/ERP implementation projects, aligning with key stakeholders.

Performance Management & Controlling

  • Optimize working capital, cash management, and forecasting to ensure sufficient liquidity for business operations.
  • Prepare and review budgets and forecasts, including regional intercompany flows, ensuring alignment with company strategy.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc financial reports to management, analyzing profitability, cost variances, KPIs, and performance, while identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Lead the development of long-term finance strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain a motivated, independent team that works cohesively and supports one another.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA, advanced degree, or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with a background in MNCs and listed companies.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Malaysian GAAP, and tax regulations.
  • Proven experience in business integration and ERP implementation is highly desirable.
