  • Lead the delivery of robust Finance and Accounting processes in the RTR, PTP, and OTC areas across markets in the region that include (but not limited to) China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Hongkong, Taiwan and Malaysia. This includes ensuring timely financial closings, accurate financial data reporting and submission, and meeting all critical KPIs in this region – Excellence is What We Do
  • Interact and collaborate with local business partners and stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities through which BES can drive additional value for Bacardi. – Delight our customers.
  • Participate actively in global projects that could impact RTR, PTP and OTC processes and in BES scope expansion projects.
  • Ensure a robust internal control environment and structure, including coordination with internal and external auditors, monitor and ensure effective implementation of SOX controls
  • Demonstrate a strong (and collaborative) leadership style that empowers the team to achieve desired outcomes, coach and participate actively in the development of his/her direct reports and their teams.
  • Lead initiatives to reinforce the cultural pillars in the organization
  • Responsible for PRC/USGAAP accounting reports preparation; Review monthly account reconciliation, financial fluctuation analysis, quarterly Briefing Book and other accounting report requested by region or group
  • Ad hoc project support and process improvement tasks
  • Being an advocate of Bacardi culture and ensuring cultural transformation to achieve our BEST 10 objectives
  • Provide support on Tax related activities to the Tax CoE representatives
  • Open to absorbing additional responsibilities and expanding the role’s scope to include other markets, in alignment with the organization’s evolving business needs and global strategic objectives

The Skills & Experience needed to create your legacy

  • Minimum of ten years professional accounting experience in progressively responsible roles.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience working across one or more of the RTR PTP and OTC process areas
  • Minimum of five years of relevant people and process management experience. (Preferably shared services and/or BPO).
  • Experience with PRC/IFRS accounting standards. CPA or equivalent Accounting Certification is preferred
  • Strong prior experience using SAP and working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong organization skills and interpersonal skills and good ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional organizations in a confident manner
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English; comfortable presenting to an Executive Level audience. Other languages specific to served geographies desirable (i.e. Chinese)
  • Ability to manage a diverse team including direct and indirect reports, process improvement experience is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with experience in process and quality analysis
  • High level of initiative, commitment to excellence, ability to work independently, meet deadlines and under pressure.
  • Ability to make decisions by seeking the appropriate quality and quantity of information, analyzing information to identify key issues, relationships, root causes and solutions, and considering the impact of decisions on the entire process
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, data driven root cause analysis and internal audit processing
  • Proven experience building business relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Strong influencing and leadership skills with the ability to challenge decisions & facilitate change
  • A proven ability to establish strong business partnerships with senior managers and operate successfully at a senior management level
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proven process implementation success including the establishment of plans and processes for accomplishing work and projects, evaluating progress and results, and adjusting when needed
  • Understanding the importance of training and employee development including providing timely and straightforward performance feedback, evaluating strengths and development needs, and providing opportunities for professional / personal growth

Personal Qualities

  • Experience in the Spirits and/or FMCG industry is a distinct advantage
  • University degree in Accounting/Business/Finance or related discipline, CA / CPA certification, MBA, or advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in English. Advanced writing and speaking are a must.
  • Be a role model for the organization showing cultural pillars: Fearless, Founder Mentality and Family. A customer focused service delivery specialist with global orientation.
  • Experience in Shared Services environment strongly desirable.
