The Finance Manager will lead a sub-team to deliver accurate and timely monthly financial closing. This includes all Record-to-Report (RTR) accounting and reporting activities such as preparation/ review of journals postings, reports and survey and other month-end processing. He/ She has to ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies and procedures.

We aim to Simplify, Standardize and Scale all RTR processes to enhance productivity and scalability, i.e., do better and smarter by leveraging simplified business process excellence and automation technologies.
- Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations and follow up proactively on aged open items in a timely manner. Prepare analysis for review with management.
- Maintain and update standard process documents and operational procedures regularly to ensure relevance.
- Assist with interim and year-end audit, including preparation of year end audit schedules, liaise with external auditors to furnish information and follow up on audit queries.
- Facilitate internal audit reviews and address queries from internal auditors in a timely manner.
- Participate in review meetings with management to update on deliverables, address open issues and highlight outstanding matters.
- Participate and support project testing and enhancements.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and workflows through automation and adoption of new tools and software.
- Assist to coordinate the processes and workloads within the RTR team.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on RTR-related matters, be the first point of escalation to resolve daily operational matters. Handle escalations promptly and effectively as they arise.
- Ensure team members are cross trained in the job functions and promote knowledge sharing to provide continuous support to RTR activities.
- Undertake any other duties as and when assigned.
- Mininum of 6-10 years working experience with at least 3 years and above in a finance shared service-related field.
- Experience in managing a team is required for this role.
- Proven change management, customer relationship, influence and negotiation skills are also essential.
- Ability to work in an environment with constant change and diverse challenges in a competitive market, whilst playing a major role in the development of the growth strategy
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willing to learn new IT tools/ applications.
- Knowledge and experience working in SAP environment.
- Hands-on experience with Blackline and RPA for financial close and reconciliation processes is a plus.
- Experience in transformational change in a large complex organization is an added advantage
