- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the finance shared services function, aligning it with the overall goals and objectives of the organization. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the shared services function.
- Financial Management: Oversee the financial operations of the shared services function, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting. Ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided to internal stakeholders.
- Process Optimization: Streamline and standardize financial processes across the organization, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Implement best practices and automation tools to improve productivity and reduce manual work.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of finance professionals within the shared services function. Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to team members. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, such as group leaders, Opco and functional heads, and executive management, to understand their needs and provide financial support and insights.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring effective delivery of shared services. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to optimize service levels and costs.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the finance shared services function. Identify opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and technologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in finance and accounting leadership roles, with a focus on shared services operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in financial systems and software, including ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
