The Controller / Senior Finance Manager will be a key member of the APAC Controllership team.
He/she will be responsible for all accounting and controlling matters in country and is a single contributor, supported by GBS center teams.
He/she will work with the GBS center, regional, and global functional teams to support period end close, co‐ordinate controllership areas, and ensure compliant and accurate
financials.
- Period end close process, working with GBS & BPO/SSC
- Oversee local statutory and regulatory compliance e.g. Statutory & internal audits, tax filing, regulatory compliance, filing of local statutory reports.
- Maintain local accounting records (as required by law)
- Co‐ordinate Vendor, Customer and collection information working with GBS teams.
- Co‐ordinate with Treasury and Tax for local treasury/banking requirements, tax reporting, TP, custom audits etc.
- Ensure local processes, SOPs & systems are aligned to Global Policies and ensure Internal Controls are working or implemented. Ensure efficient, effective, and Compliant delivery to local stakeholders.
- Continually automate, streamline, and improve reporting, accounting, and finance operation processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure internal audit & Compliance management action points are remediated and closed out.
- Point of contact for country business finance & other functional teams, e.g. Tax, Treasury, Marketing, Med Ed etc.
- Review Pricing, list prices, discounts, product returns, distributor settlements, credit, and ensure approvals are in accordance with GOA and in compliance with relevant policies.

- Conversant with ERP systems (particularly SAP), Blackline, Concur, MediSpend and other workflow tools used in shared service environments
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of project management tools is a plus.
- Ability to draft clear policies and operating procedures in line with global/regional guidelines and are compliant with the local country laws and regulations while maintaining respect for the local customs
- Compliance driven and focused. Able to setup processes to address and close internal control gaps
Education/Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with accounting major or qualified CPA/CA
- Minimum 8 to 10 years of finance/accounting experience; Experience within Big 4 audit firm will be advantageous.
- Good knowledge of US GAAP and understanding of pertinent laws and regulation across the APAC region (e.g., US/APAC healthcare compliance and anti‐corruption laws and regulations)
- Hands on experience in internal controls and compliance with demonstrated track record in remediating control gaps.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of Hyperion reporting and planning tool and SAP highly preferred.
- Experience in managing shared service providers or in working in the shared service centers
- Medical Device or Healthcare industry experience preferred.
