As a Financial Controller you will work in the Finance Shared Service Center of the Van Spaendonck Group. Together with your 7 other finance colleagues, you form the financial heart of our organization. In your position you are responsible for ensuring the financial health of various entities within the Van Spaendonck Group. You are the link between finance and the business and offer valuable insights to the management of these entities. From budgeting to risk management; you play a key role in decision making.

You are responsible for the monthly and quarterly closings, ensure that invoicing is in order and take care of the VAT returns. You are also responsible for preparing management reports and (consolidated) annual accounts, budgets and forecasts.

You also monitor compliance with tax laws and regulations. You are continuously working to optimize processes and know how to use modern applications and reporting tools, while being alert to possible improvements.

You will be supported in your work by the financial administrative staff of the Finance Shared Service Center. You also work closely with the other financial controllers, business controllers and the finance & control manager. You also act as a business partner towards the rest of our organization. You are the financial conscience and a reliable advisor and controller for various stakeholders from the entities you manage.

• Has at least 3 years of work experience as a financial controller, preferably in a corporate context or in a shared service center;
• Has completed a higher vocational or university education in finance, business administration or business administration;
• Has experience and affinity with relevant ICT (including Exact Online, other financial applications, MS Office and Power BI);
• Is analytical, initiative-rich, customer- and results-oriented and has strong communication skills;
• Has a hands-on mentality;
• She is not easily discouraged and can withstand stress.
