This role provides the opportunity for an experienced and ambitious finance professional to work at the Corporate HQ of a dynamic and successful FTSE 20 company.

The Finance Controller CHQ Specialist Functions will lead the Finance Companies, Treasury Accounting, and Intercompany Operations teams, overseeing the day-to-day operations of these teams as well as supporting Group wide transformation programmes.

Strong communication skills are important, as he/she will be dealing regularly with Senior Management cross functionally.

• Lead the Finance Companies Team
• Take ownership of all UK Holding and Financing Companies (FinCos), including month-end submission and filing of Statutory Accounts for all entities.
• Lead the annual impairment review process for all subsidiary undertakings. In case of impairment triggers ensure a robust impairment review process is undertaken.
• Lead the Treasury Accounting function
• Take ownership of the monthly review of the Treasury Entities, the Annual Report Financial Instruments disclosure, and the Statutory Accounts for the Treasury entities
• Ensure all FX and Hedging Structures are documented, and appropriate hedging documentation is in place, reviewed and signed off.
• In conjunction with the Treasury team review the 3rd party Interest Forecast and Plan.
• Provide analysis of the foreign exchange movements of Reckitt Benckiser Health Limited and ENA BV and support the weekly hedging reviews of these companies.
• Lead the Intercompany Operations Team
• Oversee the buy/sell operations of Reckitt Benckiser Health Limited. This includes working closely with FP&A on the Gross Margin Analysis.
• Take ownership of the Management Fee and Royalties Model and ensure timely and accurate Intercompany cross charges.
• Ensure the Reckitt Benckiser Health Limit Statutory Accounts and accounts of other Health entities are prepared to a high standard and oversee the audit of the accounts.
• Work closely with the Intercompany Controller (via dotted reporting line) on the implementation of the Strategic Intercompany Roadmap, driving step-change improvement in global intercompany processes and, by extension, local statutory reporting.
• Balance Sheet excellence: across all entities ensure balance sheet excellence, making sure reconciliations are in line with policy, balances appropriately supported, and reviews and sign offs documented.
• Support on the Group transformation programmes
• RTR Transformation: The FinCos, Treasury Entities and Health entities are going live on Blackline in 2023 as part of the RTR transformation programme. This programme also includes the Treasury entities transition to Shared Services. Support the Project team to ensure a smooth go live and transition period.
• Controls Transformation: Ensure any control gaps identified are understood, and action plans to remediate are put in place. Review processes to ensure continued compliance with the controls framework.
• Drive efficiency and process/control improvement agendas across all areas, leveraging shared services, automation opportunities and/or improved ways of working.
• Team Management: The Finance Controller CHQ Specialist Functions will have 3 direct reports, with a total team size of 9. As this role is newly created, building a team vision and ethic will be key to success, as will supporting the team with deliverables and career development.

• You are a qualified ACA, ACCA, or international equivalent. This is key to ensure technical appreciation and efficient execution.
• You have 10+ years of post-qualified experience.
• You are experienced in the preparation of Statutory Accounts under UK GAAP an IFRS
• Controls experience is of an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft packages: Intermediate to advanced Excel.
