Regional Process Owners
- Manage and interface with the shared service centre, taking full responsibility for the deliverables in accordance with the reporting timetable
- Review and approval of journals and reconciliations
- Review and approval of purchase requisitions
- Review the revenues and costs in accordance with the master chart of accounts and dimensional structure of the Group
- Review and approval of sales commissions entries
- Review and approval of intercompany and related party transactions, ensuring all intercompany transactions are recorded and netted off in accordance with group instructions
- Analytical review of balance sheet and P&L and providing analysis as required to Group
- Review of the reporting pack to be submitted in the consolidation tool
- Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies and review of significant accounting judgements
- Support cash collections drive working with I2C team and Business Operations team to triage and resolve customer invoicing and collection issues
- Responsible for cost analysis and support in cost control activities
Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with the Group’s minimum internal control framework, and enhancing those controls where necessary
- Timely response to internal audit questionnaires, queries and requests
- External audit liaison and compliance
- Preparation of the statutory accounts
Audit
- Manage matters relating to the statutory audit or internal audit of the entity
- Prepare the entity financial statement for statutory audit
Taxation
- Responsible for all tax matters concerning the entity including GST return, corporate tax return and submissions, timely respond to queries from tax authorities working with the appointed local tax advisor
- Indirect tax compliance (sales taxes)
- Compliance on withholding tax and employment tax (work together with HR)
- Prepare corporate tax and deferred tax provisions under IFRS for group reporting and under local GAAP for the entity financial statements
- Advise Group Tax of risks and audit
Treasury
- Responsible for optimal working capital management of the entity and ensure compliance with the bank balance target set by Group Treasury
- Prepare and submit weekly cash flow forecasts to Group Treasury
- Weekly reviews of cashflow and submit funding requests to Group Treasury as required
- Manage relationships with local banks and maintain signing and online banking authorities.
- Arrange bank and parent company guarantees through Group Treasury
- Manage the entity corporate cards
Planning and analysis
- Responsible for budgeting costs within the legal entity and submission to Group FP&A
- Analysis of actuals against budget and forecast for the entity
Revenue
- Review of large and complex contracts in accordance with IFRS15 working with the Regional Revenue Controller on areas of accounting complexity
- Review of revenue recognition entries by the Business Operations team to ensure accuracy of the data
- Review of forecast revenue against actuals and reporting of variance analysis
- Working closely with the Head of Finance and other stakeholders to help them understand revenues booked in the local ledger Corporate Secretarial matters
- Support and liaison with Corporate Secretariat function on corporate secretarial matters
Other Duties
- Any other tasks as assigned by the line manager/management
- At least ten (10) years of accounting and finance experience, with minimum four (4) years in similar capacity and preferably in MNCs
- Accounting degree or professional accounting qualification
- Able to deal with multiple systems and stakeholders and has strong organisational skills with ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Experience in managing and interfacing with the shared service centre
- Familiar with Singapore GAAPs and IFRS
- Experience in handling financials of an investment holding company is an added advantage
- Good knowledge in Oracle Fusion, HFM, FDW, TM1, Power BI, SalesForce etc. is an added advantage
- Good experience in month-end/year-end closing process
- Self-starter – able to work remotely effectively with guidance
- Positive attitude, adaptable and able to manage on-going changes and ambiguity
- Fluent in English with good communication skills, both written and verbal
