The Opportunity

As the FP&A Director, you will be responsible for leading the budgeting, forecasting, and performance management of the corporate shared services departments as well as working on special projects and initiatives across the organization. This is a unique role to become the business partner to senior functional stakeholders and decision makers to ensure financial objectives are met and to deliver global KPIs. This role will specialize in Financial Planning & Analysis, Management Information Reporting, Finance Strategy, Process Improvement, and Finance Transformation as it pertains to Corporate.

  • Work collaboratively and liaise with all heads of corporate shared services departments (including HR, Finance, Strategy, Legal, Strategy and others) to ensure cost containment and justification.
  • Manage budgets, forecast and actuals reporting of one off and integration costs (with the support of a junior member of staff)
  • Support the VP FP&A with development and timely completion of monthly reporting
  • Support the CFO, VP FP&A, and strategy team in executing special projects as well as key strategic initiatives.
  • Performing financial analysis and due diligence on potential acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Develop and mentor an analyst.
  • Provide commentary and analysis monthly by monitoring actual performance versus Forecast/Budget.
  • Identify and perform analysis on OPEX and CAPEX initiatives.
  • Work with key business stakeholders to produce budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans of full P&L.
  • Timely and accurate completion of the month-end close, keeping actuals in-line with true business performance.
  • Provide various month-end analysis and P&L commentary.
  • Prepare and present corporate financial reports and decks.
  • Identify, manage, and provide solutions for risks and opportunities across back office.
  • Drive process improvements that impact business results (Forecasting, Operating Plan).
  • Present financial results and analysis to management.
  • Seven to ten years of post-graduation experience, working in Finance roles in a range of multi-national companies.
  • BS in Accounting or Finance with strong analytical skills (CPA or MBA a plus, but not necessary).
  • Proven leadership skills, solid oral and written communicator, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work across all functions, generate solutions/recommendations to issues before topic is presented to management, prudent risk taker and excellent computer skills.
  • Experience with process improvements and optimization a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills highly preferred (financial modeling skills a big plus).
  • Proficiency with ERP systems.
