Reporting to the GBS Alexion relationship lead, this exciting role will leverage your experience of leading Global Business Service transition projects and your understanding of shared service best practice & industry standards to lead and drive the design, implementation and stabilization of the Alexion opportunity within the GBS Acceleration & Expansion Program. This is a critical role which will have the responsibility for both people and strategically aligning project solutions with the objective to simplify the business, drive efficiency and speed and deliver economies of scale.
To be successful in this role you will need to oversee the creation, expansion and implementation of shared service models and lead the workstreams through transition of business processes into the GBS service model, ensuring E2E alignment of both the retained and GBS organization. To do this you will need to establish rapport, build a strong network at pace and be able to act as a liaison between the program team and business stakeholders; you will be proactive, have solid experience building relationships at all levels aligning program objectives and business stakeholders, and have an enterprise mindset, thinking beyond the project deliverables. Working closely with the Alexion leadership team and across SET area stakeholders more broadly, you will endeavor to enable strong business partnering.
Working closely with the Program Leadership and wider project team to ensure that the project is delivered on time, on budget, and in line with quality and compliance standards.
- Project Management & Governance: Strategically managing the approved business case and operationally mobilizing and managing a project team and its multiple workstreams through the project lifecycle; ultimately ensuring the agreed plan, budget and defined scope identify, quantify and deliver clear and agreed outcomes and benefits to the enterprise
- Stakeholder Management: Manage strategic relationships with senior and C-Suite business stakeholders ensuring that business requirements are effectively understood and aligned both within the project and with business stakeholders – managing and aligning on realistic business expectation is key
- Budget Management: Manage project budget and ensure escalation of changes through an appropriate change control process
- Workstream Management: Manage multiple workstreams through identifying and tracking goals and deliverables for underlying project workstreams; aligning them to delivery of the project objectives and tracking to successful completion
- Project Planning: Creating and managing an agreed project plan to the level required to efficiently manage underlying workstream plans and appropriate handovers, ensuring governance to any scope changes
- Resource Demand & Management: Work with Project Workstreams to identify required resources, knowledge & skillsets and onboard in a timely manner to deliver identified deliverables and track to point of roll off
- Change Management: Drive change management strategy and execution across both pilot and enterprise solution implementations
- Ramp Up and Transition Planning: Develop and agree ramp up and transition plans to ensure controlled hand-overs to teams with no interruption to business as usual processes
- Project Reporting: Establish and drive transparent Project Reporting to stakeholders to agreed format and cadence; ensuring flexible summarized messaging at appropriate levels for audience
- PMO: Identify and drive resolution of risks, issues, actions, and dependencies & support the PMO team with project reviews and quality assurance procedures
- Degree level qualification or equivalent Project Management qualification
- 10 years + experience in strategic Project / Programme Management; proven delivery of projects of $30m+, within a global organization with complex/geographical context
- Proven experience of successfully managing and delivering Global Business Services transition projects BPO and Captive
- Service Design experience
- Pharmaceutical organization experience; particular experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines
- Proven senior leader with proven ability to engage/negotiate/influence at all levels, including C-Suite
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex information into summarized business language
