The General Manager, Shared Services will lead the shared services teams working in close collaboration with schools and the office to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services. This role will ensure teams deliver to agreed quality and service levels driving a focus on accurate, timely and responsive provision of information and excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Effectively lead a multi-disciplinary team specialising in shared service activities including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxation and management accounting to support schools and the office
- Clearly define and set objectives, performance measures and targets to ensure delivery of accurate and timely services to meet stakeholder expectations
- Build competent and collaborative teams, promoting a positive performance and strong culture within the directorate and across MACS
- Work collaboratively with schools and other teams in the directorate to provide outstanding support to schools
- Manage resourcing and capabilities to successfully deliver shared services, particularly during peak periods throughout the year
- Create an environment that encourages continuously improve to enhance the way in which the team operate and work with schools
- Proven capability and experience in proactively engaging and maintaining effective working relationships with the ability to contribute at all levels of an organisation
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams effectively at an executive level in areas of shared services and finance
- Proven previous experience in providing innovative solutions to simplify processes with strong capability and experience in creating a vision, mobilising capability and motivating and inspiring staff to perform well
- Proven ability to provide timely and best practice advice to support critical decision-making clearly and concisely
- Proven capability and experience in proactively engaging and maintaining effective working relationships with the ability to contribute at all levels of an organisation
