We are seeking a proactive and dynamic General Manager for Unifi’s Shared Services Center to oversee and manage a comprehensive suite of shared services operations. This role involves the control and execution of all aspects of our shared services departments, including Administration (payroll/time & attendance) New Hire Onboarding Processes including I-9 verification and compliance, credentialing (DOA & CBP), and training (New Hire & Recurrent). The successful candidate will spearhead the fully functional and cross-utilized Shared Services program and support Operational leaders across various lines of service (approx. 3.5k employees) including but not limited to Wheelchair, Janitorial, AATC, COR, Commissary, Spirit Airlines, Mail, and Transportation services.

  • Operational Management and Development: Oversee day-to-day operations of the shared services center, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
  • Administrative/ Employee Progress Monitoring : Partner effectively and support the AMH Services team (fully functional Shared Services team located in India), and partner closely with various departments, as well as Atlanta operational leaders to monitor new joiners’ progress and activities. Ensure the attendance policy is enforced and managed by the AMH/ATL admin team and OPS leadership.
  • Strategic Leadership:** Collaborate with the Senior Vice President (SVP) ATL and two Vice Presidents (VPs) to address operational needs, including the introduction of new processes and implementations.
  • Hiring & Training:** Manage the day-to-day hiring process from Conditional Job Offer (CJO) to productivity, including the credentialing admin center (badging and fingerprinting procedures).
  • Hiring & Training Center: Lead the onboarding & training center for new hires and the on-the-job training (OJT) and oversee the training, onboarding, and credentialing teams to ensure effective employee engagement/development.
  • Employee Engagement: Manage pipeline effectively and reduce join-to-deployment activities to help reduce attrition rates.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in managing shared services departments and/or hiring and onboarding preferred, also preferably within the aviation or related industries.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and lead teams.
  • Excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities.
  • Proven track record in implementing new processes and efficiency improvements.
  • Familiarity with the specific operational challenges and requirements of the aviation industry.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organization.
