APAC Finance GFS function has an operating model that takes care of in country Finance Operations for India, Sri Lanka & Indonesia. This role will be based out of Gurgaon.

The India Finance team entails In-country Shared Services (ICSS), Treasury, key Insurance & Loss prevention programs for commercial business, Supply Chain, R&D, GCC and other support function. GFS function (ICSS) is managing operations for 2 legal entities i.e. GSKAPL & GSKCPL.

This role provides strategic leadership to all the above mentioned legal entities for management of end to end Treasury & Banking operations (GBP 600 MN) and ensuring optimum liquidity and ROI , insurance & risk management (GBP 2.5 MN spend) for both employee and non-employee categories , providing control & compliance framework to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the in-country Financial shared services center supporting commercial , Supply Chain , R&D and other support function for ‘Purchase to Pay’ , ‘Record to Report’ and ‘Employee Payables including Retiral Fund trusts’ activities. Support taxation team in driving Tax compliance for GST (GBP 200 MN). Current ERP administrations and future transitions are key deliverables of this role.

This role will also be responsible to lead the Finance & Accounting activities for Sri Lanka & Indonesia countries in support from local leadership team. (this includes Order to Cash activities in addition to P2P, R2R & Treasury functions)

This role has dotted line relationship to India Finance Director, in addition to regular reporting to Director – Close & Control (GCC India)

  • Providing strategic leadership to ensure effective management, controls & Compliance, customer satisfaction, team capability building and people development.
  • Close partnering with Senior Stakeholders i.e. Finance Director, Sales Director, HR Director and other leadership team members
  • Close partnering with Sales Team (T&E and Regional Payments), Supply Chain Team (Freight, Depot / CFA payables), HR&A (Employee Payables, Employee Queries, Retrial Management) and Commercial Finance Team
  • Lead Finance & Accounting processes which include:
    • Procure to Pay (Vendor payments & Management, Freight, Intercompany and related compliances and governance)
    • Employee Payables (Salary and related compliances, T&E Spends)
    • Treasury (Payments, Collections and Investment Management)
    • Record to Report (Taxation – GST, TDS, TCS, Fixed Assets, Admin of Financial ERP including month end close)
    • Order to Cash (Sri Lanka and Indonesia only)
  • Delivering KPI targets and continually improving process and publish of monthly dashboards.
  • Adherence to Sox Control framework while ensuring compliance to local policies & statutory requirements of the market.
  • Support periodic internal and external audit requirements.
  • Ensure people development by active coaching & mentoring and embed the Haleon Culture
  • Lead Periodic review with Finance Director on ICSS Operations
  • Drive Treasury Initiatives in consultation with Global Treasury and compliance with RBI guidelines
  • Annual insurance renewal for Employee Benefits and Non-Employee Benefits and Claims Management
  • Support the GCC Finance team in helping land incoming transitions and partner on key projects with the GCC Finance Lead

Essential –

  • Chartered Accountant with 12 plus years of experience.
  • Understanding of end to end “Treasury & Banking”, Insurance, P2P, R2R, O2C, functions.
  • Good Knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of Tax accounting, Insurance Accounting will be added advantage
  • Managing audit and Assurance
  • Experience of working in Global Finance roles and should have led or driven Finance Transformation

  • People leadership and leading teams across multiple locations (25 FTE – Direct, Indirect + BPO’s)
