Supply Technologies is currently seeking a dynamic individual to become part of our team as the Global Controller. Global controller provides technical and operational accounting guidance: prepare technical accounting memos, desktop procedures, and accounting policies, incorporating accounting best practices, to provide guidance and clarity to the organization; ensure compliance with accounting standards under U.S. This individual will be a key member of the finance leadership team and be responsible for all areas of accounting, financial and local reporting, and shared service centers.
· Maintain compliance with current accounting regulations and applicable laws.
· Oversee financial and accounting operations for Global Services office and hubs.
· Manage general accounting including journal entries, invoices, accruals, prepaid and reconcile balance sheet accounts for the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing.
· Proactively assesses financial risks & opportunities through monthly review and analysis of financial statements.
· Implements financial policies and procedures.
· Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective internal control processes to improve the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
· Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the company’s value.
· Perform on-site Accounting & Controls Assessments to evaluate entity level accounting and internal controls.
· Supervise and play key role in the potential General Ledger accounting systems upgrade and implementation.
· Oversee capital expenditures to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and budget adherence.
· Oversee local tax and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and timely preparation of all related filings.
· Oversee external audits, accounting, bank, and foreign reporting requirements.
· Oversee daily operation of the global accounting team. Establish and maintain organizational structure and staff to effectively accomplish goals and objectives.
· Coach, mentor and develop the global accounting team.
· Work with functional leaders to develop continuous improvement initiatives.
· Monitor and lead finance and business initiatives, projects, and integrations
· Analyze potential acquisitions and lead due diligence on acquisitions.
· Integrate accounting activities of acquired business.
Qualifications are the following:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
· Certified Public Accountant or master’s degree a plus.
· 10+ years’ experience in a senior financial managerial position in manufacturing and or distribution
· Hand on, detail-oriented leader that can contribute to all areas of the business.
· The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong leadership and finance/business partnering skills.
· Experience with a broad perspective of best practices with a combination of large and small to medium sized companies.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to provide and communicate executive level presentations.
· Mergers and Acquisitions experience
· Proficiency with financial reporting systems
· Multi-site international management
· Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
· Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
