The Global Director of People Solutions is vital in supporting the employee lifecycle across the business, from hiring & onboarding, compensation, benefits, employee data management, payroll, the HR service center/helpdesk to HR technology. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the HR Solutions strategy globally and continuing to develop a high performing HR Solutions function (100+ Team members) that delivers services to 15,000 employees.

  • Manage the global People Solutions team located in the US, Canada, Brazil, Europe, and Australia including coaching and developing team members.
  • Deliver high quality, timely customer service to the supported clients and against agreed targets in the respective service area (Employee Life Cycle, Talent, Global Mobility, Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll and Reporting).
  • Improve service delivery in all areas, building skills and capabilities in the team, and continuously improving processes, systems and the knowledge base via standardization, digitalization, and automation.
  • Drive the people data management strategy and ensure controls and compliance to manage any operational, financial, or reputational risks, ensuring that services are delivered consistent with service level agreements.
  • Build a sustainable relationship with customers to ensure local satisfaction with the service provided, working with PS Teams globally, HR Centers of Expertise, and HR Partners.
  • Drive value creation for our clients using digital HR solutions, advising clients on their digital transformation roadmaps, and acting as the conduit between technology teams and wider business functions.
  • Manage Global Payroll for all Weekly, Semi-monthly, Monthly, and Annual processes (400,000 payments per year, $ 1B+ in transactions) on time and with a high payroll success rate.
  • Manage vendor relationships for payroll, pension, and benefits worldwide, including SLA management, issue resolution, and billings.
  • Establish and maintain operational procedures, controls, and contingency plans; ensure compliance with labor requirements (Payroll, Benefits, and Pension), SOX, and other laws and country regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests.
  • Define PS success metrics and ensure that teams understand, support, and meet expected performance levels timely and accurate.
  • Manage the global budget for all People Solutions departments – USD 12 M.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to HR leadership, skillfully cultivating and growing key internal and external relationships and engaging in productive partnerships with critical internal HR and IT stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight and structure to ensure effective delivery of People Solutions technology projects/programs, including portfolio management, influencing, and managing initiative prioritization, cost tracking, and change management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or other related degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of HR experience in general HR management roles.
  • Excellent understanding of the latest trends, strategy, and operations value levers, how the role of HR is changing, and the digital enablers required to add value to an organization and drive colleague experiences.
  • Experience in solving business problems that use the latest technology solutions to enable a digitally driven business model such as HR cloud solutions, Robotics, GenAI, IoT, and Analytics – Familiarity with Workday system.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial processes and concepts.
  • Experience collaborating with Global teams, leading, creating, and sustaining a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continual improvement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Legislation, Policies, and Practices relevant to contemporary human resources management
  • Inclusive leadership style that engages, develops, and motivates their team to drive results, yet is not afraid to get into the detail.
  • Excellent people skills, and a strong communicator with various levels of the organization, experienced in establishing credible relationships with leadership teams.
  • A “roll up your sleeves” mentality with the ability to pivot easily between strategic and tactical.
