Are you a strategic finance leader ready to make a global impact? At Merlin Entertainments, we’re on the lookout for an exceptional Global Finance Hub Director to lead and optimise our Finance Shared Service Centre. Reporting to the Vice President of Financial Control, this role is at the heart of ensuring financial excellence across our dynamic, world-class organisation. Our Finance Hub is based in Basingstoke, where you’ll work in the office at least 3 days a week.

• Lead and manage the Finance Shared Service Centre, ensuring seamless delivery of services including P2P, O2C, R2R, and more.
• Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Finance Hub, driving efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Oversee financial controls and compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations and governance standards.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including site finance teams, auditors, and corporate leadership.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth.
• Drive process optimisation and automation, leveraging financial technology to enhance operations.

• Fully ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record in finance operations leadership, ideally within a shared services or global finance environment.
• Expertise in financial controls, risk management, and compliance (IFRS/GAAP).
• Strong experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
• A strategic thinker with outstanding leadership, problem-solving, and change management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
