The Rhenus Group provides solutions for a wide variety of different sectors to complete the supply chain, including multimodal transport operations, warehousing, customs clearance, and innovative value-added services.

This senior leadership role manages and oversees the delivery of shared services to internal clients in a timely and efficient manner as well as people project management topics and ensures resources/budget are utilized effectively. This also includes leading and managing the delivery of key HR projects within the organization.

1. HR Process Optimization:

  • Streamline and standardize HR processes across regions to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of HR operations
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation

2. Global Policy Development:

  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks associated with HR operations

3. HR Systems and Technology:

  • Oversee the implementation and management of HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to enhance data accuracy and reporting capabilities
  • Evaluate and recommend new HR technologies to improve efficiency and employee experience
  • Own the HR System and ensure that it is fully and efficiently utilized, working with the HR System Analyst to understand how to extract and interpret data around Gender Pay, CEO Pay Ratio and Staff Turnover. Support senior colleagues in turning this people data into commercially focused HR plans

4. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:

  • Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to ensure a seamless and efficient recruitment process
  • Oversee the design and implementation of onboarding programs to facilitate the integration of new employees

5. Global HR Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations globally and ensure HR practices are in compliance
  • Work with legal counsel to address any potential legal issues related to HR operations

6. Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the HR operations budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation
  • Work with the senior management to inform during the budget setting process
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification is a plus
  • Proven experience in a senior HR operations leadership role, preferably in a global organization
  • Strong understanding of global HR practices, employment laws, and cultural nuances.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into HR initiatives
  • Experience with HRIS implementation and management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills, including project planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex HR projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex information to different audiences
