The Global Process Owner – Procure to Pay (PtP) is a new role within the Finance Shared Services team with responsibility for identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives, ensuring an adequate control environment, managing a team of internal Subject Matter Experts, and owning the relationship with our outsource provider for the PtP function.
- Review end-to-end PtP processes and determine changes needed to optimize the function
- Lead prioritized cross-functional projects to optimize PtP function
- Work with outsource provider to ensure updated processes are appropriately rolled out to their teams
- Determine appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the function, implement, and monitor.
- Leverage KPIs to determine potential additional projects
- Lead team of Subject Matter Experts and leverage their knowledge and skills to complete key projects
- Ensure the appropriate control structure exists within the function, the outsourced team clearly understands the control points, and periodically test to ensure compliance
- Constantly monitor internal / external environment for changes in regulations, technology innovation, etc., and ensure appropriate incorporation in internal priorities
- Build culture of continuous improvement within the Subject Matter Experts and the outsource provider team
- Strategic thinker who can look at the possible and develop plans to move from as-is to the desired state
- Ability to solve problems and willingness to dig into the details
- Lead through change while building consensus
- Solid understanding of controls particularly in the accounting space
- Strong Procure to Pay knowledge (5+ years)
- Project Management experience (3+ years)
- Travel about 10-15% of time to domestic locations and outsource provider locations
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred
