The Global Process Owner, Record to Report is responsible for the end-to-end global process design and governance for Record to Report (RTR), with emphasis on global process standardization and optimization across the business. Drive the strategic direction for the RTR process transformation and support the implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and other enabling technologies to optimize the RTR process.
- In partnership with the Global Accounting and FP&A teams define and implement the Record to Report process and technology strategy to deliver targeted business benefits and ease of process use for the end user.
- Lead identification, prioritization, and delivery of process improvements, and technology enablement ensuring they support organizational outcomes and RTR roadmap.
- Collaborate with Finance RTR leadership to ensure global alignment of priorities, management, and influence of results through working in a matrixed environment.
- Ensures all processes are mapped, documented, and properly managed based on a common way of working (owns blueprints)
- Define and agree KPIs and performance measures associated with the end-to-end process. Lead benchmarking activities and continuous assessment of global process performance measures, to deliver measurable improvements in the process over time.
- Work with other business process leads to ensure seamless integration with other business processes.
- Drives the change, identifies gaps and coordinates local corrections or modifications of the global processes.
- In partnership with stakeholders from Accounting, Internal Controls, and Middle Office, identify opportunities to strengthen controls in existing record to report processes, to mitigate risk exposures.
- Partner with the Finance Technology team to help redesign processes impacted by the implementation of new systems, develop plans to deploy changes providing support to the teams impacted as they migrate to the new system and processes.
- Is responsible for keeping updated on new developments and applications to allow further improvement of processes.
- Establish and sustain the RTR Global Process Council who will own the strategic direction of RTR and the change control process for RTR end to end process.
- Proactively monitor cross-functional and enterprise-wide initiatives that impact people, processes, and technology to ensure alignment, maintain agility and mitigate disruption to the global process agenda.
- Drive process automation including robotics for the process area.
- Ensure adequate and timely root cause analysis to understand problem drivers and implementation of necessary corrections and/or changes.
- Identify, drive, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives related to the RTR process area and create opportunities to bring service innovation to CHS across the end-to-end process.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- 7+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement
- 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis or working in a Finance Shared Service environment.
- Experience or certification working with Lean Sigma tools.
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field.
- Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Green Belt or preferably Black Belt Lean sigma Experience managing and prioritizing a project portfolio.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
- Ability to prioritize, efficiently plan work activities, and be detail and results oriented.
- Has solid knowledge of SAP
- Ability to work and collaborate with others, to consider the needs of all affected groups, and to build/leverage relationships across functions and organizations to achieve business results.
