BCG is looking for an exceptional business leader, with deep expertise in Finance shared services operated at scale, to lead our Record to Report (R2R) team. The R2R team sits within our Global Finance & Operations service line, within BCG’s Enterprise Services organization. The R2R team provides accounting, closing, and reporting support to BCG offices across the world, ensuring outstanding levels of service. The team is also currently providing operational support to a global ERP implementation.

• Deliver Record to Report service delivery excellence
  • Deliver service in line with agreed performance metrics, relating to compliance, quality, speed and cost, driving year-on-year efficiency and value
  • Advance the teams progress in laying the foundational framework for Global Business Services (GBS) in India (and Lisbon) that align with BCG’s ambitious growth, innovation and digitization and AI agenda.
  • Prepare annual resource plan and financial budget for GFOS R2R.
  • Champion BCG’s culture as a member of the Delhi hub management team, actively promoting and integrating firm values to ensure we are building a sustainable high-performing team entity, aimed at setting the standard for quality service, integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Build and nurture a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration and fostering an environment where continuous learning and leadership development are paramount
• Accelerate continuous operational improvement and directive expansion
  • Own the GFOS end-to-end R2R process, leveraging subject matter expertise to lead the team responsible for process execution and to accelerate process optimization, including moving from a geographic model to a process model.
  • Drive continued expansion of Global Business Services (GBS) in our Global Services Delhi hub, by growing the geographic footprint and activities served by the R2R team.
• Cultivate a network of key stakeholders across the firm and leverage to drive influence
  • Partner with stakeholders across the globe to cultivate rich relationships within all levels of the organization, demonstrating empathy for all colleagues and strong leadership skills
  • Act as the primary GFOS R2R point of partnership & escalation for the following key stakeholders in particular:
    • System Heads of Finance
    • Regional Controllers
    • Group Chief Accountant

You Bring (experience & Qualifications)

• Experience developing and managing relationships with senior level stakeholders, and engaging with executives as a peer, typically gained through 20+ years of professional experience
• Significant experience establishing and leading Global Business Services (GBS) centres (beyond BCG), preferably in India, and with global internal stakeholders
• Significant experience in Finance roles in a similar fast paced, global and complex organization, preferably with exposure to Record to Report processes
• Seasoned leadership and culture building skills, demonstrated by experience leading a scaled organization to successful business outcomes
• A track record of leading, motivating and developing large teams, with the proven ability to inspire and drive performance in a demanding environment
• Strong service orientation, ideally honed in a professional services context
• Highly articulate in English, with concise & impactful communication skills
• Strong leadership presence, coupled with excellent influencing skills
• Team-oriented with the willingness to invest in peer relationships
• A passion for emerging technology and extensive experience of leveraging for process optimization and internal client delight
• A collaborative, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach, with a high degree of professionalism
• Ability to handle competing priorities with flexibility, whilst maintaining strategic alignment
