Reporting directly to the Group CFO, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial stability of the company and supporting its rapid external and organic growth.
- Lead, develop and enhance the capabilities of the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, as well as career development opportunities for team members.
- Leading an international team of accounting with responsibility for the group and local financial statements of the subsidiaries worldwide in accordance with IFRS and various local GAAPs.
- Overseeing the full consolidation process of the Group involving a large number of international entities.
- Defining, governing, and coordinating accounting-related requirements for the consolidation, including best practice for use with accounting systems such as NetSuite.
- Setting up policy in relation to the closing process.
- Monitor the adherence and ensure robust internal controls in order to manage business risks and ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors
- Streamlining and standardization of accounting processes, driving fast preparation of consolidated financial statements through effective closing process, and governing the end-to-end processes for financial closing. This includes setting up Cebu team as a Global Centre of Excellence for global business processes (Record to Report, Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay) for all other international shared service centres (Mexico, Brazil, and China)
- Driving better finance capabilities via the adaption of new technologies and approaches in order to optimize transactional finance processes. For example, driving process improvement through automation, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning tools.
- Integration of new acquired entities into Group consolidation scope.
- Minimum of 10 years of prior experience in finance/ accounting roles in an international environment, ideally within a regional/ global finance management role in mid to large-size MNCs, with a significant transversal management track- record.
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent with strong technical accounting skills preferred.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
- Strong understanding of shared service operations, and experience in implementing process improvements.
- Excellent leadership, management, and organizational skills.
- High-level problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to conceptualize and implement effective processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize them efficiently, and meet strict deadlines.
- Experienced and comfortable working with multicultural teams and peers; ability, willingness, and enthusiasm to take on and execute projects autonomously and proactively; strong sense of ownership; internal customer-focused.
- Good understanding of international finance ERP systems such as NetSuite
- Flexible to travel when required.
- Fluent in English.
