One of our clients in Fiji Islands has requirement for an appropriate person for the role of General Manager / Operations manager for Flexible Packaging business in Fiji – Pacific Flexible Limited (PFL). My client has presence in South Pacific region including Australia and New Zealand and is growing rapidly.

Strategic Planning, Leadership and Management of Group wide Finance Function

  • Manage the Finance function through the performance management systems
  • Management of Finance and Shared Services resources
  • Appropriate systems, policies and guidelines are implemented, maintained and continuously refined
  • Strategic alignment of the Finance function

Financial Services

  • Ensure annual budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial projections prepared on a timely manner
  • Consumer Finance operations are effectively managed, together with all associated business objectives and targets
  • Effective Cash flow management to ensure that borrowing cost is minimised.
  • Ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
  • Ensure management of efficient & effective collection of debts
  • Capital expenditure appraisal and project management
  • Soundness and adequacy of systems, procedures and controls are reviewed and appraised.
  • Provision for Consumer Finance debts are maintained below budgeted level.
  • Evaluate investment, acquisition and merger opportunities
  • Implement robust systems and processes together with cost management strategies to monitor and control Group -wide costs.

Effective Risk and Compliance Management

  • Ensure full compliance of financial statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant SOPs and other relevant internal policies and procedures
  • Financial risk management systems are developed, effectively implemented and continuously refined
  • Adequacy of systems, procedure and controls are assessed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce
  • CPA / Chartered Accountant

Work Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years proven expertise in a similar role. Exposure in Retail sector with Consumer Finance will be an added advantage.
  • Extensive experience in financial management at a senior level providing strategic advice to executive management.
  • Excellent budget planning, financial management and analytical modelling skills.
  • Excellent command of English
