Highly motivated and experienced profile to directly supervise and manage the accounting team of onshore (2) and offshore (5) resources for multiple legal entities, and improve the financial processes across the served entities; Customer Service and transformation minded profile to develop and manage the Cairo-based multi-function (accounting, treasury, budget controlling, reporting) finance shared-service centre for MEA & KSA (11), together with the area function leaders (him/herself being function leader for accounting, based in Cairo; the area Treasury Manager and Central Budget & Reporting Controller, both based in Dubai).
- Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting department for all the different entities within legacy Thales and DIS
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff providing training and support to ensure the team is working on maximum efficiency
- Ensure the timely preparation of financial statements for all entities in scope
- Manage and supervise the different tax compliance filings for the served entities
- Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Work closely with the outsourced accounting shared service centre based in India that performs most of the accounting transactional tasks
- Work closely with different country finance & project controllers
- Supervise the Cairo based Treasury, Budget Control and Reporting job positions in coordination with the regional heads of function
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 10 years of experience with a large sized company, preferably MNC of which last 5 years to be of supervisory role.
- Shared Services Experience.
- Experience in regional or head-office functions in MNC with ability to communicate with people from different regions.
- Ability to take over Business Partner Role.
Qualification, Certification & Educational Requirements
- Masters degree in Accounting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
