Manage the activities of the Facilities Department to ensure fast and efficient control and monitoring of all engineering services specifically with regard to:
Civil works
Electrical
Mechanical
Project Management
Sanitary
Fire Protection
Repairs and Maintenance
– Ensure that the renovation and expansion program of the Educar Group are geared toward the achievement of company goals, objectives, initiatives, and programs.
– Gain a competitive advantage by having the efficiencies and competencies necessary for the long-term goals and sustainable growth of the Educar Group.
Facilities Management
- Oversees and manages activities to ensure that all equipment of the company are functioning efficiently and all basic utilities are provided for at any given time
- Ensures that all equipment are covered with the Preventive Maintenance Contracts
- Secures pertinent permits as required by different government agencies and landlords
- Prepares construction / repair plans and layouts and endorses these for approval
Company Repairs / Equipment
- Ensures that all company Job Order Requests are properly and timely attended to
- Ensures efficient sourcing and negotiating with outside vendors/suppliers/contractors for repair and maintenance
- Review status reports on Job Orders and ensure prompt action is undertaken
- Signs new requests for payment for company repairs and recommends approval
Project Management
- Ensures that the project timelines are met at the most efficient cost
- Leads the project team on the tasks needed to be done in coordination with the contractors
- Prepares/coordinates with the contractors on the layout, plans, and schematics
- Reviews the plans/layouts/schematics submitted by the contractors
- Reviews costs/bids and submits recommendations/approvals
- Reviews/recommends/coordinates on the timelines
- Coordinates with the contractors on the government requirements such as permits, licenses, and certifications
- Assists/coordinates on the mobilization
- Resolves conflicts/issues that may arise
- Submits weekly status reports of the projects
Critical Tasks
- Ensure all construction activities are carried out efficiently and target dates are met on time
- Managing project costs
- Maintaining high morale of the staff
- Will directly supervise the facilities manager/s and project manager
Others
- Together with the Project Manager, monitors status of construction, submits weekly/periodic status of the projects
- Acts as facilitator of weekly meeting
Education/Professional Background
- College Degree/Master Degree is preferred
- License in Engineering is required – Civil or Mechanical
- With a 10 year-experience in Engineering
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Technical Knowledge
- Attentive to Details
- Practical knowledge of MS Office operations and applicable engineering software is required
- With excellent communications in both oral and written communications
- With good interpersonal relations skills
