For a newly created Global Business Services and transformation project for a global company, we are looking for a Head of Global Business Services for the Americas Region.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create the GBS, lead and shape the future of the business processes.

The company creates complete solutions for professionals around the world who are committed to health & safety, diversity, professional conduct and social responsibility.

The GBS Head is a key role for the organization and in the region. Main responsibilities:

· Build and manage teams: Recruit, hire, and develop a talented workforce to support various functions.

· Actively participate during the Transition Period to ensure a smooth handover to GBS Americas

· Lead operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Global Business Services center, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all functions.

· Drive performance: Set clear performance expectations and targets for teams and individuals, monitoring performance against goals and implementing strategies to improve performance and productivity.

· Foster collaboration: Promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork among the different functions, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-functional projects.

· Develop and implement standardized processes: Establish and enhance operational processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and ensure compliance with global policies and regulations.

· Stakeholder management: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including regional and global leaders, to align strategies and ensure effective communication and coordination.

· Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and cost optimization, driving initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and achieve higher levels of customer satisfaction.

· Costs and resource management: Managing costs and resources of the Global Business Services center, ensuring efficient utilization of funds and optimizing resource allocation.

· Risk management: Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

· Others that the company may assign.

We are looking for a proven leader with a strong background in Finance, who thrives when working in a diverse business driven by shared purpose and common goals. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

· Solid experience with Shared Service Centers (SSC) or Global Business Services (GBS) environment (transitions, operational management roles)

· 10 years in Leadership roles for Finance and Accounting, including People Management

· Experience with US/CAN Tax – Reporting submissions and calculations, Reporting and Accounting

· In-depth understanding of best practice processes and continuous improvement fostered through internal and external networks.

· Good understanding of IFRS and/or US/CAN GAAP´s

· Be a strong communicator, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· A ‘lead by example’ individual who can develop a team via coaching and development.

· Able to influence a wide group of stakeholders, including Regional Leadership Teams

· Knowledge in SAP
