For our customer, an international automotive supplier, we are currently looking for a successor: Head of Accounting (m/f/d) or Chief Accountant (m/f/d)

This is a permanent position with our client. The location is in Schongau, with the possibility of working predominantly from home.

• Taking over the ongoing accounting including asset accounting for selected companies within a Shared Service Center Finance (FSSC)
• Taking over the management function of a 6-person team as part of succession planning
• in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• of monthly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and HGB
• Role in the preparation and audit of the annual subgroup financial statements
• of account clarifications and reconciliations as part of closing and consolidation work
• the debtors/creditors departments also connected to the SSC
• for auditors and tax consultants and the tax office during company audits
• in the design and further development of processes in the area of ​​finance and accounting as well as the improvement of the internal control system
• in internal projects (digitalization, automation)
• and processing of tax and statistical reports; preparation of advance VAT returns

• Training with completed further training as an accountant, alternatively business studies with a focus on accounting or comparable qualification
• Professional experience in operational accounting, ideally in a manufacturing company
• Experience in financial statements and preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB
• Knowledge of tax law (corporation tax, VAT)
• You already have experience in working on internal, cross-departmental projects (digitization, automation, SAP rollouts, etc.)
• User knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and practical experience in S4 Hana
• Independent and conscientious working style
• Team and communication skills; initial management experience
