The Credit Portfolio Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for achieving results through the management of a team or department to monitor Citi’s portfolio and identify credit migrations in conjunction with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this position is to direct Citi’s portfolio exposure to clients and counterparties globally

  • Lead and train a team of risk analysts and manage complex, critical or large professional disciplinary areas.
  • Lead financial risk forecasting efforts, including designing and maintaining complex credit loss and financial risk forecasting models, performing cost of credit analysis, and monitoring product trends to identify key areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Develop, evaluate, optimize and implement credit/valuation policies.
  • Manage risk levels for the full credit/valuation landscape across multiple retail products and formats, consistent with program financial objectives.
  • Track and report on initiatives, performance results, emerging trends and opportunities to senior management.
  • Create interdisciplinary partnerships and networks to support the execution of business and interdisciplinary initiatives.
  • Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and protecting Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, exercising sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively monitoring the activity of others and creating accountability for those who fail to maintain these standards.

Ratings

  • More than 10 years of experience in credit risk management or equivalent training
  • Experience in the financial services industry is preferred
  • Proven experience in providing a full range of services to one or more geographic regions/businesses
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Proven negotiation skills frequently used at senior level
  • Proven ability to summarize, prioritize and drive results with urgency
  • Ability to gain support and participation from a wide variety of internal and external audiences

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree/university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
