The Head of Commercial Process Effectiveness leads the Commercial Bank’s broad focus on ensuring that we have an effective 1st line strategy to identify, manage, measure and improve Process controls across each line of business. This role focuses broadly on Controls, Process Automation, Monitoring and drives the creation of scorecards on Process Health.

• Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
• Leads Commercial Bank’s broad focus on ensuring that we have an effective 1st line strategy to identify, manage, measure and improve Process controls across each line of business
• Drives Commercial Bank process / control automation strategy and establishes / maintains a related investment roadmap
• Develops and maintains a Process Control scorecard for each core Product group / Business within the Commercial Bank, including the Key Risk Indicators that demonstrate process health and effectiveness
• Leads Consumer Bank focus on automating measurement of process controls
• Partners with 1B organization on efforts ensure the Commercial Bank’s control inventory and mapping to respective Laws, Rules, Regulations and Operational Risks
• Leads development/execution/roll out of a new Process Control Framework across the Commercial Bank, ensuring that the 1st line of defense has established Process Breakpoints, Controls, KRIs and QA/QC Testing from an End-to-End Consumer Bank perspective
• Partners across the AML, Governance and Business Excellence team to ensure that proper control/risk performance is in balance with Customer Experience, Process Efficiency and Financial crime management
• Partners with D&A, DaaS, Technology and Consumer Bank Vertical teams to ensure smooth hand off as control/data improvement opportunities are identified for execution

• Bachelor’s degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below; MBA preferred
• 10 years of related experience
• Ability to apply consultative relationship management and influencing skills across all levels with organizational prowess and work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize tasks and determine what is important and where value can be best added with superior understanding and judgment on issues to resolve independently or to escalate
• Ability to deal with significant ambiguity and constantly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Understands complex Bank business environment to ensure all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines are met while driving process effectiveness
