We are looking for a Global Head of C&D Solutions to lead Creative & Digital (C&D), a full service agency supporting all divisions across Novartis. Creative & Digital is a global business, with 130+ associates, plus contractor teams, based across Ireland, UK, US, India, Mexico and Germany. Supporting our clients from campaign strategy, messaging and innovative design solutions right through to deployment directly into channel. As an internal organization, C&D aims to drive value for our customers, coordinating across the network, to support the Novartis mission to improve patients’ lives.
- Provide financial management and oversight of the team, including: Performance and productivity, P&L accountability (~$28m in 2022), bottom line operating costs and margin performance
- Lead, motivate, develop & succession plan team of +130 associates across Dublin, India, Mexico, US & Germany
- Define and execute on 3-5 year strategy for C&D, driving innovation/next generation service pipeline – creating business cases and investment decisions to promote expansion of service
- Prepare, and contribute to, strategic business plans for the Insights & Commercial Solutions Practice
- Be a Point of Contact (POC) for senior level NVS leaders – able to discuss, agree and align direction opportunities and innovations. Facilitate and drive change in a complex environment. Strong interpersonal and networking skills are necessary
- Create a ‘culture’ of high quality, collaboration and innovative thinking across C&D & the broader Insights & Commercial Solutions Practice
- Demonstrate leadership of a significant business to identify growth and opportunity across Novartis
Experience:
- The successful candidate will have 15 years’ experience Commercial experience in the area of design/marketing/program within creative /advertising/consulting agencies, In House Agency or Marketing Department
- Experience in pharma brand/therapeutic area a significant plus
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and communication skills and an ability to translate analytic skill into commercial strategy.
- Excellent cross-functional skills. Ability to work and lead a cross-functional team in a matrix environment. Strong process/project management skills.
- Commercial experience managing creative &/or digital services or driving key digital initiatives within global functions.
- Several years of leading and managing service resource/people management/planning across multifunctional teams and complex matrix environments.
- P&L ownership experience.
- Past work reflects a track record of operational excellence.
- Excellent stakeholder/community management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with aptitude in fostering long-term relationships at a senior level
