As Head of Tooling Services, you will set our vision and strategy, delivering centrally managed, resilient and secure shared services, and driving adoption across DWP Digital.
- You’ll be the Service Owner for Tooling Services, as we continue our exciting and necessary journey to hybrid cloud hosting and intelligent tooling. Your responsibilities include overseeing incident and problem management, change management, service transition, and continual service improvement.
- You will have the opportunity to shape and lead multiple service teams, making sure we have enough people, talent and capacity to design, build, and operate shared tooling services.
- You will be a key member of the Hybrid Cloud Services Senior Leadership Team (SLT), helping to define and deliver DWP’s Hosting Strategy, with a focus on the delivery and adoption of Cloud and centrally managed resilient, secure and cost-effective shared services.
- Experience of leading and inspiring teams to deliver strategic outcomes with a focus on service excellence
- Experience of building capability and leading service teams, establishing and maintaining support and operating models for critical services, with a focus on continual service improvement
- Demonstrable experience of a service management framework, embedding policies and procedures in a complex hybrid cloud environment
- Experience of delivering and supporting shared services at scale, preferably automation, orchestration or CI/CD tools
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and shared services, specifically how they should be used to support delivery of strategic business objectives.
