Charlotte Tilbury are on the hunt for a Head of Finance Shared Services to join our growing Group Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Group Finance, this role will be pivotal to the implementation and leadership of the financial shared services function, which shall be responsible for the accurate and timely, accounting, processing and reporting for the general ledger, accounts payable, intercompany and accounts receivable functions, ensuring consistency of accounting and control across all regions.
You will have an integral role in enhancing capabilities in the finance department by driving best practice across the global shared finance function which shall be responsible and play a crucial part in ensuring the integrity of financial accounting and reporting.
- Develop the shared service operating model and lead the implementation of financial shared services organisation that shall include a direct UK share service team as well as alignment with matrix reporting teams in China and North America.
- Develop, document and delivery on clear SLA’s that ensure the accurate and timely, processing and reporting of financial information that meets the business needs and the fast pace of growth.
- Manage all aspects of the processing, accounting, reconciliation and reporting of general ledger, accounts payable, intercompany and accounts receivable functions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and SLA terms.
- Develop the capabilities of the finance shared service team, within both direct and matrix reporting environments, ensuring clear lines of responsibility, best in class accounting & control practices and effective service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement across the internal processes and systems, working closely with the Transformation Teams and Business system teams on key initiatives.
- Take accountability for the internal controls and accounting compliance across the respective share service functions, aligning closely with internal controls department on improvement plans.
- Manage regional stakeholder expectation and service delivery requirements, by developing strong working practices and relationships with regional directors and central functions.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in the respective shared services finance processes and use this as a mechanism to upskill the wider finance team through hands on coaching and capability development.
- Review and manage allocation and recharge of corporate costs to other entities within the Charlotte Tilbury Group, and the reconciliation and settlement of intercompany balances.
- Work closely with Group Reporting Teams to ensure timely, accurate and complete month end closing, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Provide direct support to Group Reporting and Audit functions in support of internal and external audit requirements.
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA) with at least 3 years PQE
- Experience in developing, implementing and managing a share service operating model.
- Experience of retail and/or consumer goods industry
- Practical knowledge of IFRS as well as UKGAAP
- Deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes
- Highly competent in the fundamentals of accounting
- Deadline oriented, good time management and organisational skills
- Keen attention to detail and independent thinking
- Experience in NetSuite highly desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills with people at all levels of the business.
- Coaching and people development skills.
