WebBeds are seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Head of Financial Services for APAC & America’s regions. The candidate should have extensive knowledge in managing effective day to day activities for high volume transactional departments for Accounts Payable, VCC Operations, payments & receipts allocations, MOR – customer receipts (merchant of records) & other trade payment functions
The role requires a strong people management skill set, can drive change and improvements forward, set and encourage achievement of performances targets and SLA’s and collaborate with internal commercial and operations departments as well as excellent commercial relations with suppliers
- Provide strong leadership and oversee efficient, accurate and timely processing and recording of transactions whilst maintaining data integrity and a high level of financial controls
- Management of high-volume day to day activities for transactional operations including AP, VCC Ops, MOR & refunds, VAT compliance as applicable, cash allocations, cash forecasting and other trade payments activities
- Provide an outstanding service to the WebBeds business, including:
- Agreement and implementation of standardized procedures as agreed with the GFO Director
- Procedures and Policy’s to be appropriately maintained, reviewed, documented, and used to teams
- Achievement of agreed KPIs and targets, including:
- AP backlogs and query resolution, debit balance minimization, override & pre buys, and marketing fee recovery
- Effective AP dispute resolution, collaboration with suppliers and internal partners
- Effective fraud detection cycle – customer credit card payments and supplier VCC
- Timely cash allocation to customer accounts – collaboration with customers and internal partners
- Effective Aged Creditors reporting and reconciliation in accounting systems &= collaboration with R2R department
- Effective debit balance reporting and reclaims, controls to mitigate risk
- Active management of Breakage maximization using agreed procedures
- Effective month end close procedures and controls
- Effective management of approval and payment processes, consistent with cash forecasting requirements
- Ensure appropriate and consistent governance and risk management including adherence
to: Delegated Authority Limits
- Support the GFO Director and Regional Financial Managers to run efficient regional shared services teams, introduce innovations and ideas to enhance productivity, a continuous improvement approach to developing the shared services teams and processes.
- Work with Regional Heads to identify risks of loss to the business and to recommend and implement appropriate improvements
- Support the Team Leaders to motivate the teams to deliver excellent customer services to stakeholder departments, suppliers, customers to meet SLA’s
- Support the team Leaders and manager to meet annual objectives
- Review current transactional processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement within finance processes which are documented
- Monthly creditors ledger maintenance reviews – including, but not limited to unallocated receipts, unallocated trade payments, debit balances and Fraud. Report to management risks/concerns
- Ensure collaboration with finance teams & digitalization teams to identify opportunities to automate manual and repetitive tasks relating to invoice processing, allocations, reconciliation, reporting, and analysis
- Work with the disputes team to ensure creditors disputes are resolved as per SLA’s and mitigate losses
- Ability to build effective relationships across business groups and functions, based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
- Assist management to organize the delegation of requirements for audits and pre-audit reviews relating to creditors and MOR areas, ensure deadlines are met

Qualifications & Knowledge
- 2 Years + high volume transactional shared services environment
- Virtual Credit Card payments & MOR experience
- Pro-efficient on SAP & reporting tools
- Strong people management skills, different cultural understanding
- KPI’s targets, identifying unproductive areas
- Policy and procedures – design and revamp
- Experience in finance E2E high volume transactional processes & current systems
