The Head of FP&A Projects plays a pivotal role in strategy enablement, transformation, and value creation through the delivery of a wide range of special projects including but not limited to strategy enablement at individual BU/CU and overall AZAQ Group level, M&A integration, and value creation support, range of corporate finance tasks, strengthening and building the Shared Services model of all CUs, and other ad-hoc engagements.

Strategy & Commercial Support

• Support and contribute to the development of the strategy and three-year rolling business plans for BUs and CUs.
• Support in reviewing and validating BU and CU strategies, identifying issues, and recommending changes.
• Contribute to KPIs development and subsequent monitoring to be used to assess the success of both the business and the financial strategy for BUs.
• Provide commercial support to leaders across the organization, by supplying in-depth financial knowledge, analysis, and contributing towards the CU/BU strategies to achieve organization objectives.
• Monitoring markets and competitors to share insights.
• Identifying areas of potential revenue growth/acceleration for BUs
• Support in identifying technology trends across all verticals

Corporate Finance

• Facilitate in providing financial support to the BUs on an ongoing basis, such as assistance in cash flow management, working capital rationalization, background research, etc.
• Project evaluations and feasibility, including DCF analysis, IRR and WACC calculation, sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning.
• Assess requirements/needs for different types of restructurings (business, capital, organization, tax, etc.) for the Group entities.

Institution Building

• Lead development of departmental policies, procedures, and controls
• Lead development and ongoing implementation of the Activity Based Costing (ABC) model of Corporate Unit (CU) charge out to Business Units

• Work closely with all CU teams in the initial development and ongoing enhancement of their respective universe of activities and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

• Supporting all CU teams in elevating their Shared Services deliverables

• Explore avenues for cost savings and volume discounts using collective Group
• size and resulting Group synergies in coordination with procurement teams
• Proactively maintain and update the Group Finance & Investment Library within AZAQ Hive (SharePoint platform)
• Analyze cost structures and develop cost reduction or performance improvement programs leading to enhanced profitability in Bus

Ad-Hoc Engagements and Other Tasks

Maintain and grow professional relationships with leadership teams in CUs & BUs by providing the necessary assistance and professional advice to support them on an ongoing basis in their business and financial aspects.

• Supporting the FP&A Team to deliver a project and/or during busy periods including temporary deployment at BU sites
• Perform other job-related projects and/or assignments for special assistance that are often not mentioned in this job description as they arise under specific circumstances

Identify areas of improvement in team members and ensure continuous growth

• Coach and provide formal and informal positive constructive feedback to ensure that work is carried out in an efficient manner
• Recommend training needs to bridge the staff skill gap

Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or Equivalent, MBA is an advantage

Certification: ACCA, CMA, CPA
