The Head of Global Finance Shared Services will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the strategy to centralize key finance processes, including accounting, general accounting, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR), into a global Shared Services Center (SSC) model. The role will ensure seamless service delivery, cost optimization, and standardization of finance processes and procedures across regions, while maintaining strong internal controls and adhering to ADAMA’s global financial governance standards. This individual will be accountable for overseeing regional SSCs, managing key relationships, and ensuring the global finance function consistently delivers value through excellent service, efficiency, and innovation.
- Lead Global SSC Strategy: Define and drive the vision and strategic objectives for ADAMA’s global finance SSC, ensuring alignment with corporate goals. Develop a roadmap for SSC migration and monitor progress.
- Oversee Regional SSC Operations: Select and recruit regional SSC leads. Identify optimal locations for SSCs and manage the distribution of activities across centers to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Performance Management: Develop and monitor SLAs with business finance, track performance against KPIs, and implement action plans to address gaps. Regularly report results to global finance leadership and key stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Drive process standardization and efficiency across global SSCs. Work closely with IT to implement necessary technology enhancements and improve service delivery.
- Customer Service Excellence: Maintain a customer-focused approach to ensure all service requirements are met within SLAs. Act as the final escalation point for service quality issues and ensure continuous feedback for improvement.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Work with Controlling & Accounting to align on finance policies and guidance and continuously innovate to drive efficiencies. Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure finance operations meet business objectives.
Experience & Skills
- 5-10 years of experience in managing global finance shared services operations, including substantial experience in setting up finance SSCs.
- 10+ years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting, with deep expertise in finance processes.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS and GAAP, is preferred.
- Experience managing operations under SLAs, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and performance metrics is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across regions and with cross-functional teams.
Education & Certifications
- A university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other professional certifications are preferred.
