The client is an award-winning global entertainment company, headquartered in London.

As the business has grown, becoming more global and more complex, our client is now looking for a Head of HR Operations to join the team.

This role will help redesign and redefine how the business uses data and analytics as well as making operations processes from induction and on-boarding to payroll and reporting more effective.

There is significant opportunity to do things better in this space and provide the business with improved insight and analytics, enabling them to get onto the front foot, becoming less reactive and more strategic.

The ideal candidate will have good specialist experience in this space and a practical and pragmatic approach to getting things done. They will be viewed as the subject matter expert in this area and able to take a leadership role for global processes across the group. They will be highly visible with the board and senior leaders and able to influence key stakeholders at this level. Ideally this individual will also possess diverse experience gained in a number of different organizations and therefore the ability to bring learned experience into the organization. Any experience gained in the US would be beneficial but not essential.

This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the CPO, that will provide an opportunity to really make a mark and excite the business whilst supporting a Leadership Team that are very data driven. This role will initially manage the new HRIS implementation and will have overall responsibility of utilising this to draw out high impact data and insights. The ideal individual will have a proactive and global mindset and the ability to align processes across the different regions.

The role will also be responsible for managing the payroll process via an external provider and will also have ownership of the company’s benefits offering whilst significantly contributing to the overall reward proposition.

Further Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting an audit of current HR processes, identifying issues and creating a roadmap e.g. acting as a key voice in defining and reviewing onboarding processes such as document flows pre-boarding, IT workflows through HRIS, letters, first day induction.
  • Leading and playing a role in the US design of processes.
  • Creating a cadence of stats, data and insights for senior leaders e.g. exit data.
  • Managing global payrolls and benefits.
  • Review of benefits.
  • Policies, handbooks and compliance e.g. mandatory training.
  • The ideal candidate will have the gravitas to face off to the leadership team, a systems orientated mindset and experience of working within a UK business.
  • Global experience would be beneficial, particularly across the US.HRIS implementation experience will be critical as part of the wider HR operations context and so someone who has held a Head of HR Operations or Shared Service role would likely be a good fit.
