An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced professional to take on the role of Head of Information Technology Shared Services.

As the Head of Information Technology Shared Services, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, implementation, and use of technology throughout the organisation, working closely with users to assess and address corporate and departmental needs, as well as setting strategic direction for the IT Shared Service Centre (SSC) by defining its objectives, building the IT roadmap, and allocating the budget.

  • Rendering visionary leadership to the IT shared services team, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the organisation’s overall strategic direction and leading IT team
  • Collaborating with each organization’s departments, providing expert knowledge, experience and innovative approach to support and develop IT strategy that align with business objective
  • Supporting the continued development and maintenance of the organisation wide information technology strategy as well as keeping up to date with technology and rendering advice on how new technological solutions and their implementation can meet finance, business, and system requirements
  • Developing and maintaining SLAs to measure and monitor performance of IT shared services
  • Working together with internal stakeholders, including executives, to define and prioritise technology initiatives that support operational efficiency and enhance customer experience as well as collaborating with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to ensure the procurement and implementation of IT solutions meet organisational needs
  • Participating on Committees and Project Steering Committees, ensuring IT risk management and governance is aligned with enterprise needs, risk appetite and as appropriate, industry best practice as well as developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimise IT-related disruptions
  • Providing high quality advice and information to the stakeholders, including the budgeting of major technology programmes and projects
  • Managing the planning, staffing, and budgeting of core information and technology areas to ensure appropriate execution on policies and procedures while achieving strategic business objectives in an efficient and effective manner
  • Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and hardware, ensure infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security to support the business and software licenses, updates, and patches are managed in a timely manner
  • Managing the selection, deployment, and maintenance of software applications and systems across the organisation
  • Overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget and managing project risks and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Effectively lead, manage, and motivate the team so that it operates efficiently and effectively, with proper regard for the needs of appropriate stakeholders, and in line with company’s policies and procedures
  • Overseeing the recruitment, training, retention, and organisation of information and technology personnel in accordance with company’s talent acquisition personnel policies and budget requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus) with a minimum of 10 years’ hands-on working experience in a similar leadership role
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and storage systems
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving, people management, project management, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Solid working knowledge of all relevant coding languages and security protocols
  • Ability to think strategically and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
