In this role, you will lead IT for Finance and M&A comprising Finance including Finance shared service and Business Development/M&A functions, bringing strategic vision, industry knowledge, and strong digital/technology competence to bear to help improve our organisation.

- Build strong strategic relationships with complex customer groups and senior partners to develop a deep understanding of the short-term and long-term business direction.
- Drive IT strategy for Finance and M&A business functions and deliver on the roadmap and programs.
- Assess and prioritise business priorities aligning with IT strategy and influencing IT strategy where appropriate.
- Accountable for Finance and budgets
- Facilitate accurate IT demand forecasting, planning, and delivery collaboratively with other supporting IT team roles.
- Proactively seek opportunities for IT to deliver innovative technology solutions to provide competitive advantage.
- Present and gain consensus from senior leaders for IT initiatives, using domain knowledge to gain credibility, trust, and commitment.

Essential for the role
- Significant demonstrable relevant experience
- Degree or relevant business qualification – Technical or Business degree; Master’s degree preferred.
- Strategic leadership experience within a large IT function
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the Finance and M&A business domains.
- Proven ability to interpret and communicate technical and scientific information.
- Strong verbal and written communication/facilitation skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve objectives.
- Strong influencing, motivating, networking and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work and lead across diverse global teams.
- Ability to partner and work in a matrix organisation.
- Substantial experience in managing and delivering business change at scale.
- Experience in building strong arguments & mobilising high-value investments.
- A self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, resilience
Desirable
- Experience of working with vendors at scale.
- Demonstrated understanding of quality and compliance
- Working within Pharma-Industry
- Functional understanding of SAP and/or other IT platforms
- Experience in leading & mentoring and developing others.
