As our Head of Business Information Technology (BIT) Infrastructure you will drive OLX’s global IT infrastructure strategies and shared services across 8 markets.
The BIT Infrastructure team’s mission is managing business-critical applications at scale. We are supporting internal tools that everybody at OLX is using. This puts our team at the very centre of a truly international organization.

• Work closely with our stakeholders in the HR, Finance, Product and Technology departments to support and propose solutions to their IT challenges;
• Leading a team of skilled professionals who maintain high-performing services;
• Understanding business requirements and translating them to the team into manageable parts;
• Monitor, control and support service delivery; ensuring systems, methodologies and procedures are in place and followed;
• Guarantee the reliability, scalability, and security of our services;
• Ensuring the maintenance of current projects and technology systems;
• Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement;
• Propose strategic solutions and recommend new systems and software;
• Ensuring reported issues are resolved in a timely manner;
• Building and maintaining relationships with external advisors and vendors;
• Preparing financial budgets and performance reports;
• Build and lead the strategy and vision for the team.

• At least 5 years of management experience in the IT environment;
• Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments;
• Experience with AWS, DNS, EMail systems, and SaaS Services (experience with Okta and ServiceNow would be nice to have);
• Good knowledge of other APIs and system integrations;
• Strong understanding of cloud best practices and experience implementing new standards and processes in Cloud environment;
• Systematic analytical and problem-solving approach, coupled with a sense of ownership and drive;
• Strong leadership and project management skills;
• A degree in Computer Science is nice to have.
