As Head of our newly established Legal services center with an end-to-end service for frequently required contracts (“assigned area”), you will have the opportunity to lead a growing team of experts in legal matters. If you thrive to ensure high performance and service delivery by process excellence in a constantly changing environment and are a dedicated leader with people management experience, you may fit right into this position. The role reports to the Head of Employee Services and leads a team of attorneys and legal staff in Wroclaw, Poland.

Your main responsibilities will contain provision of legal support to the assigned areas, in particular drafting and negotiating agreements and acting as point for any escalations of the team. You will be developing, implementing and continuously adapting an effective and efficient legal support model for the assigned areas. Moreover you will be leading the team to provide excellence in customer service, including identifying and implementing measures to continuously improve legal support. We would expect you to perform proactive identification of legal risks associated with the assigned areas, proposing risk mitigation measures and implementing these in close collaboration with the business. The role also involves active participation in the Employee Services Leadership Team and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, fostering close collaboration with the senior business leaders.

  • Legal degree and admission to practice law

  • Experience as lawyer, preferably in the Healthcare and/or Life Science sector

  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of legal services delivery within a shared service center model, ideally by leading a team of at least 5 FTEs

  • In-depth experience in contract drafting, review and negotiation

  • People Management skills – ability to lead a team of senior attorneys and legal staff and to ensure high performance and service delivery

  • Experience with an international environment and ability to work in different cultures and manage global matters from a distance, flexibility to serve different time zones

  • Open, energetic, self-starter, ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent organizational, collaboration and communication skills

  • Problem-solving attitude when providing cost effective and value-added legal advice with a strong sense of accountability and ownership

  • Intercultural competence and excellent language proficiency in English (written and spoken), German is a +
