As Head of Operational Finance, you will be responsible for the creation and management of an efficient shared services function – encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, treasury, and payroll. This will involve managing a team of transactional finance staff – each with different specialisms – ensuring they fully understand processes and their role within the finance infrastructure and wider business.

• Creation and leadership of the shared service center to drive all key financial operations of the business
• Accounts receivable management including credit control
• Accounts payable management including supplier management
• Management of Insurances through Broker
• Management of Treasury/Cashflow
• Reporting and maintenance of Working Capital
• Management of Payroll
• Accounting and management information systems are appropriate, accurate, and effective.
• Contribute to the future finance system processes and MI design requirements
• Support annual audit process as required
• Support team needs and coordinate cross-functional efforts as needed to ensure efficient business processes are in place
• Good understanding of active projects
• Support finance talent development and succession planning initiatives

• Have experience leading transactional finance teams and/or shared service functions including Accounts Payable, Receivable, Credit Control, and Banking/Treasury (Payroll – advantageous)
• Have a track record of effectively managing and improving Working Capital in previous role(s)
• Have strong leadership skills and a track record of managing effective teams
• Have experience designing, documenting, and developing good finance processes
• Have experience operating ERP systems to a high level
• Have excellent communication skills and an ability to form strong, cross-functional relationships
• Have strong MS Excel skills and an ability to handle large datasets
