Head of Operations provides leadership direction to the Vessel Accounting team and responsible for approx. 165 colleagues in Global Shared Services (GSS) locations with 5-7 direct reportees, delivering performance that meets or exceeds the Service Level Agreement; establishing and maintaining common process company-wide based on best practices. Head of Operations works closely with relevant stakeholder i.e. VFC’s, Local MD’s, Finance Directors, Credit Controller to define and implement necessary process changes and help implement a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency and controls. Handles budget for GSS locations
- Manage a team size of approx 165 colleagues performing Vessel Accounting for various Management Offices based in all GSS locations
- Stakeholder Management – Regular touch base with Country MD’s, Finance Directors, VFC’s to manage overall Operations issues and ensure seamless delivery of all deliverables
- Review monthly KPI with Global Operations Lead and Senior Team Leader. Perform root cause analysis of any deviation from the defined processes
- Take final decision on resource allocation as per the Business requirements
- New Vessel/ Owners Addition in GSS – Decide the group responsible to take this task, perform vessel movements between team members to ensure equal workload balance without compromising on stakeholders expectation
- Conduct skip level meetings with Team Leaders to ensure all people issues are addressed
- Succession planning for Leadership positions
- Responsible for Hiring, development and promotion of Vessel Accounting colleagues
- Ensure ISO Audits are being timely conducted on the vessel accounting processes
- 1st Point of contact of stakeholders for Vessel Accounting processes being managed from Mumbai teams
- Ensure statutory compliance for local entity are being performed
- Budget Management and Cost management & control for local entities
