Ambu’s Parent & EMEA Accounting team has been on a journey moving transactional accounting tasks to our Shared Service Center in Malaysia.
The next phase of this journey involves streamlining accounting processes and controls across Parent & EMEA Accounting, leveraging our dedicated people across multiple locations who are working with the newly introduced IMPERO system, the ERP suite and front-end reporting systems.
INTERNAL CONTROLS, AUDITORS & FINANCIAL REPORTING
- Review team workpapers to ensure high-quality, consistency, and well-documented submissions. Ensure timely resolution of any issues raised.
- Champion a strong control environment, ensuring processes are robust and efficient, while working to streamline documentation across the teams.
- Oversee and lead the preparation of statutory accounts and other regulatory filings in line with applicable rules in Parent & EMEA entities.
BUSINESS SUPPORT AND FINANCIAL INSIGHT
- Support the team in providing insights on Operational and Capital Expenditures to enable informed decision-making.
- Plan and drive budgeting, reporting, and forecast process across relevant business areas and global support functions in accordance with the guidelines set by Global FP&A and Strategic Finance.
PROCESS EFFICIENCY
- Continuously identify opportunities to streamline & harmonize processes and existing operation model in collaboration with your teams and financial shared services.
- Develop, and implement accounting guidelines, procedures, and standards pertaining to Parent & EMEA Accounting.
LEADERSHIP
- Lead and develop a robust multi-location team of finance managers to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
- Demonstrate leadership qualities and understand the importance of fostering a collaborative team environment striving for continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop the Payroll team responsible for payroll operations in multiple of countries.
You Will Also
- Own the Share-based payment (IFRS 2) accounting cycle, working together with People & Culture and Global Tax.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on GDPR, HCP, environmental reporting, and other relevant regulations, including the bookkeeping act, to ensure adherence to statutory requirements.
- Strong experience in accounting, with proven ability to manage complex financial reporting and compliance in a multinational environment.
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Excellent people skills, with proven ability to build informal relationships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring accuracy and possessing strong analytical skills.
- Ability to set, coach, motivate, and develop a team.
- Relevant education in accounting, e.g., cand.merc.aud, HD-R, or equivalent.
- Results-driven mindset with a “can-do” attitude and proven ability to deliver under pressure.
- Exposure to accounting across the value chain is an advantage as the Parent Company spans across functional activities in R&D, Distribution, Marketing & Sales.
