You’ll be responsible for leading Parkinson’s UK shared adviser services, ensuring a flexible service that is high quality, meets demand, continuously improves, and creative in providing information and support to people affected by Parkinson’s from all communities..
You’ll oversee the development of a quality framework, and alongside use of data and insight, ensure delivery of a high quality and consistent service. You’ll lead the operational team for safeguarding, (inc. duty cover), complaints and service issues.
You’ll oversee the personal grants programme, ensuring a fair and consistent approach is taken across the service providing analysis and insight into the provision of personal grants.
- Provide effective leadership, balancing priorities and influencing outcomes to achieve the best possible results for the shared adviser service and its clients.
- Develop and embed a robust quality assurance model (which includes appropriate colleague learning and development) across the service, and monitor and evaluate service standards to ensure a high quality and consistent service and support planning
- Develop and maintain a relationship across all four nations to understand and ensure each nation’s requirements are embedded within the service, and develop a strategy to extend the shared services to reach underserved communities
- Accountable for the delivery of our responsive helpline and specialist adviser support, and oversee the personal grants programme and provide detailed reports and analysis as required.
- Lead the team for operational safeguarding, acting as an escalation point (inc. duty cover), complaints and service issues
- Experienced leading high quality information and support services, with experience of continuous improvement in services with the ability to motivate a dispersed team
- Knowledge of quality standards and accreditation within service delivery, and an understanding of the importance of products and systems to support service delivery
- An appreciation that there are different health and social care services and legislation in all four countries of the UK
- Proven experience of evaluating service provision and interpreting service data to support planning and decision making, with the ability to produce clear and accurate written material with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Substantial experience in handling complaints and safeguarding concerns sensitively and appropriately
