About Our Client
Our client is a leading player in the Travel and Tourism industry and has built a good name for itself in the global remittance business, with a worldwide presence spanning more than 20 countries and creating a value chain in the international money, insurance, and SIM card business.
As a Head of Shared Services, your responsibilities will comprise of:
- Developing and implementing strategies for delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of the organization’s various business units.
- Fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders in the organization, including business unit leaders, to understand their needs and requirements and ensure that shared services are aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Introducing new technologies and process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Managing and leading a team of professionals who provide services across multiple functions, ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Developing and implementing financial controls and processes to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the shared service center.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with other departments and functions within the organization to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Developing and maintaining service level agreements (SLAs) and ensuring that they are met or exceeded.
As a Head of Shared Services, you must: (Mumbai City)
- Be a qualified professional Chartered accountant with 15+ years of post-qualification experience
- Have strong collaboration skills and be able to work closely with stakeholders across the organization
- Have worked in a similar captive environment managing large finance and other functional teams, but must also have proven experience in managing the closing, accounting, and reporting processes
- Have excellent knowledge of current regulations including IFRS, UK GAAP
- Good knowledge of core financial systems (SAP, Oracle) and general accounting procedures
- Change management skills and should have the ability to approach technical problems in a thorough and logical manner
